ASP-One is an early adopter of Microsoft Windows .NET
technology and Active Directory, and we built our data
security around those platforms.
HP Servers
Our production environment utilizes top-of-the-line,
outstanding performance servers, including:
- HP Blade Systems c7000 with BL460c and BL480c blade
servers and storage blades
Backup
Nightly tape backup to SpectraLogic T950 tape library -
multi drives enhance security and
dependability.
Redundant Internet Connections Through Tier One
Providers
ASP-One connects to the Internet via redundant central
hubs from MCI-UUNET and AT&T.
Power and Environmental Control
The Data Foundary® data center has redundant power feeds, battery
backup for brief interruptions, and diesel generators
for extended power outages. A redundant HVAC system
maintains temperature and humidity.
HTTPS/SSL/MAPI Encryption technology
Apptix's OnDemand™ web portal is accessed via secured
HTTPS using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. This
same protocol is also the mean by which our users access
MS Exchange 2007 (or 2003) OWA. Moreover, MS Outlook
users have the options to connect to Apptix's Exchange
Servers using either published MAPI or Outlook Anywhere,
the recommended connection protocol. Outlook Anywhere,
previously referred to as RPC over HTTP, allows users to
securely establish connections to Apptix's hosted
servers hence removing the need for a Virtual Private
Network.
Network Security with Managed Firewall and VPN On-Demand
Cisco ASA 5500 dedicated devices protect
our servers.
Local Area Network with Cisco Catalyst Switches
ASP-One uses Cisco routers and Catalyst switches with
fiber based interconnections with redundant parts.
